During the whale shark season (May to September)** there´s a daily opportunity to participate in this great adventure! We will depart from Cancun to the water surroundings of Isla Mujeres, Contoy and Holbox, exactly where the Caribbean Sea meets the Gulf of Mexico. This is where the whale sharks feed themselves with plankton. You will have the remarkable opportunity to snorkel and swim with this friendly giant, in a beautiful area with a bustling sea life.
The Whale Shark Adventure tour will be supervised by a professional and certificated guide. All our guides are naturalists and biologists. They will tell you a lot about the whale sharks and their environment. The boats which we will use for the tour have a limit of 10 people.
** Note: It is important to know that we cannot control nature. So, we can NOT guarantee the snorkeling with the whale sharks nor the sightings. The whale sharks come to the waters near Cancun to feed on plankton, but when there is no/not much plankton there are no/a few whale sharks. We recommend to make your reservation between mid-June to August. In this period there is a higher possibility to see whale sharks.
